For many years the HOLZTIGER figures have stood for play value and very high quality, made in Europe. Each one is individually handcrafted from maple wood. These are not painted plastic animals. Solid maple carved and finished by hand means every figure differs slightly, they survive being trodden on, and they look like something you would be happy to leave out on a shelf. Open-ended in the best sense: no batteries, no right way to play, and they mix freely with farm sets, blocks and doll's houses. HOLZTIGER animals are commonly bought a few at a time and collected over years.
